A Denver man is facing charges in New York City that he allegedly raped a 23-year-old after the two went out for drinks last year in Manhattan, officials said.
Davis Lange, 25, was out with the Saddle River, New Jersey, woman on Nov. 20, 2020, when the two went back to a Harlem building and got into a dispute after he tried to kiss her, cops said.
The woman told cops she passed out at some point during the argument and woke up with vaginal bleeding, police said. It was unclear what caused her to pass out.
She filed a complaint and Lange was arrested on Sept. 14, nearly a year after the alleged incident, according to cops. Lange has a permanent address in Colorado but also has an apartment in Alphabet City, police said.
Lange was charged with third-degree rape, according to an indictment.
Lange’s attorney said his client was innocent of the charges after a brief court appearance Thursday.
“Mr. Lange maintains his innocence and looks forward to the truth coming out,” attorney Sanford Talkin told the Post.
