Disturbing new surveillance video released by police shows a man in traditional Jewish garb being shot with a possible BB gun in Brooklyn.
The 23-year-old victim was walking at Albany Avenue and Montgomery Street in Crown Heights around 10:30 p.m. Oct. 11 when three men pulled up inside a dark Hyundai Sonata with silver wheels, cops said.
As the victim attempted to cross the street, the Hyundai driver turned the corner and someone inside fired an “unknown projectile” — believed to be a round from a BB gun — at him, according to the video released early Thursday, and authorities.
The clip shows the victim falling to the pavement and holding his head, as the car passes.
The victim suffered a laceration on the left side of his head, and was taken to New York Presbyterian-Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in stable condition.
No anti-Semitic statements were made during the incident, but the NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating, cops said.
All three suspects were still on the loose Thursday morning. They are each described as between 20 and 30 years old, with a medium complexion.
One was last seen wearing a blue sweater and beige pants, another wore a black hooded sweater, black pants and yellow shoes, and the third wore a red hooded sweater, black pants and black and white sneakers.
