A food delivery worker was slashed in the face in an elevator during a robbery in the Lower East Side, according to police.
The victim, a 29-year-old man, was approached in the elevator while making a delivery at 78 Ridge Street by two males around 8:45 p.m. on Sunday who slashed him in the face with a boxcutter and stole $200 in cash, cops said.
The perpetrators, described as two males in their 20s in dark clothing, fled in an unknown direction.
The victim was transported by EMS responders to Bellevue Hospital where he is expected to recover.
The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made at this time.
