An Australian rules football player was arrested for groping a woman on a dancefloor at a Chelsea hotel, then attacking her enraged friend who intervened, police said.

Jordan De Goey, a 25-year-old forward for Collingwood AFL in Melbourne, who has previously been charged with assault in Australia, was nabbed after he and a fellow Aussie groped a 35-year-old woman they crept up on as she danced at a rooftop bar at the Dream Hotel on West 16th Street around 2:20 a.m., police said.

The groping upset the woman’s male friend, who confronted the 6-foot-3, 194-pound De Goey and Goey’s friend, Luke Dyson, 28.

De Goey and Dyson allegedly hit the man, 37, in face with a bottle, punched and kicked him, according to the NYPD.

De Goey and Dyson, who were staying at the hotel, were both charged with forcible touching and assault, cops said.

De Goey and another individual allegedly attacked the woman's 37-year-old friend, hitting the man with a bottle at the Dream Hotel.

The victims, who were also staying at the hotel, were visiting from Cambridge, Ma. They declined medical treatment.

In 2018, De Goey was hit with an indecent assault charge stemming from an alleged incident in 2015. But by August, the charges were dropped and police were ordered to pay the athlete’s legal fees.

De Goey was previously charged with indecent assault before the charges were dropped.

Collingswood said it is aware of the situation, but has not yet been in contact with De Goey, according to The ABC.

“The club is attempting to contact Jordan, who is in the USA, to determine the facts of the matter,” a club spokesperson said.

“The club will not be in a position to comment further until it has done so.”
