Aaron Judge turns heads with new teeth at spring training

Much of the focus on Aaron Judge’s opening spring training press conference was on changes he made in his offseason workouts in order to stay healthy this season.

But there was another change that was apparent in the Yankees slugger.

Judge was flashing a perfectly-aligned smile to start the 2021 season, where a gap in his two front teeth previously existed.

It’s not Judge’s first dental dilemma in pinstripes. In 2017, he chipped a tooth on a teammate’s helmet celebrating Brett Gardner’s game-winning home run.

“It got me pretty good,” Judge said at the time. “It kind of shocked me at first. I thought both my teeth got knocked in. I just tried to cover it up as fast as I can and get out of there.”

This year is a crucial one for the 28-year-old, whose been hampered by injuries the past three seasons. Judge was asked about extension talks, but said there has been no meaningful discussions between him and the Yankees.

“Our time is coming down the road,’’ Judge said. “It’s not something we’re focused on right now. Our focus is on trying to win.”
